Mrs. Genevieve (Jenny) Mastrangelo, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Her family were by her side, holding her hands as she drew her last breath. Jenny was loved dearly by her husband, Joe, of 62 years and that love was reciprocated immensely. Jenny bravely battled cancer, always with her husband’s love and support. She always had a positive outlook.

Joe and Jenny enjoyed life to the fullest wintering in Florida, taking road trips, camping but mostly hosting Sunday dinners with family. Together they would make you feel welcomed into their home. She was deeply loved by many, and she loved them all in return. Although we will miss her dearly until we meet again, she left us with beautiful and loving memories that we will cherish forever.

She is survived by her husband Joe, daughters Kathy (Russell), Donna (Dan) and son Joey (Darlene); grandchildren, Jeremy (Kimberly), Shawn, Samantha, Charlene, (Chris), Nicole, Sarah (James), Rebecca (Josh), Joey (Ashley) and Justin (Moriah); great grandchildren Callan, Kyler, Josh, Lucas, Ryan, Angelina, Gavin, Valerie, Hayden, Maximus, Malachi, Xavier and Joey V; sisters, Margaret Fodchuk, Florence Wilkinson and Rose Zelinski; brothers Martin and Raymond (Carolyn) Syvitski: Sister in laws Mary, Delores (Louie), Shirley, Denise and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Cathedral on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 1:30 pm, celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. Reception will follow at the Columbus Centre, 301 S May Street. Please note that proof of Covid vaccine and ID will be required to attend the reception.
