Obituary for Jordan Morriseau

Mr. Jordan Francis Morriseau, age 41, a resident of Fort William First Nation, passed away at home on November 19, 2022. First and foremost, Jordan loved his family, his daughters and son were his everything. He was a kind man who always saw the good in people. His first passion was fishing and something he wished to return to. He loved fishing, hunting and being on his boat out on Lake Superior. As most of his family and friends knew, he was a loyal HABS fan.

Jordan will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Shaylah Fenton (Lance); Kaleigh Fenton, Jordyn Fenton and his son Darius Morriseau. His mother Anita Pelletier and father Gregory Morriseau. His brothers David Morriseau (Marcie); Zachary Morriseau and sister Loretta Collins (Lou). His grandparents Louis and Eleanor Pelletier. Nieces and Nephews: Trenton, Mckenna Morriseau and Ava Parks. Kolton and Oliver Morriseau. Brian Oles; Travis Collins and Kaitlyn Collins. As well and many Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and friends. He is predeceased by Uncle Brendan Pelletier, Great Grandparents Frank and Catherine Pelletier and Bernard and Lila Morriseau.

A Sacred Fire for Jordan was held from November 21-25, 2022, where he received his spirit name, Wapshki’makoonz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Anne’s Church, officiated by Rev. Gerry McDougal. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Jordan always put a bag of extra groceries in the food bank bins when buying groceries, so any donations to one of the local food banks is greatly appreciated.
