LOTYSZ: With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mrs. Krystyna Lotysz, on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Hogarth Riverview Manor at the age of 92. Krystyna was born in Poland on August 9, 1930. She was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Polish Legion Br.#149, and St. Casimir’s Church. She managed Krystyna’s Variety for over a decade in Westfort along with her daughter Liz, and son-in-law Slav. Krystyna loved gardening, making pierogis and she also enjoyed going for walks. Krystyna often took her grandchildren to Chippewa Park, Chapples Park,to church, and to McDonald’s or the Brown St. Café for breakfast.
Krystyna is lovingly remembered by her daughter Liz Falkowski (Slav), grandsons Brian (Melissa), Mark (Catherine), granddaughter Krysta Barclay (Bryce), and great-granddaughters Rachael and Carolyn. She is predeceased by her husband Edmund (1981) and son Ted (2013).
Following a private service, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Br #149 730 Simpson St. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 2:00-5:00.
