Margaret McMurtry, age 96 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Roseview Manor. Margaret was born in Fort William on April 27, 1925. She is survived by her children Donna Gardiner, Susan Waisanen, Gordon McMurtry, and Mary McCulligh (Gordon); 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Margaret was pre-deceased by her parents, William and Mary Forrest; brothers Gordon and John Forrest; loving husband of 61 years, James (Jim); sister-in-law Kathleen (Kay) Forrest; granddaughter Jolene Waisanen; and son-in-law, Rodney Waisanen. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Glacier Ridge, and the doctors, nurses and staff at Roseview Manor. Cremation has taken place, and internment at Stanley Hill Cemetery and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
