Obituary for Natalie Miller

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Natalie Miller, age 93. She was born October 23, 1928 in Fort William and lived a full, beautiful life that will be forever cherished by all those that were lucky enough to know her.

Natalie, or Nat, to most who knew her, married her sweetheart Gordon Miller on Sept 25, 1948. They spent many wonderful years together and among other things, enjoyed curling, bowling and entertaining with friends and family. They were blessed with two daughters, Debbie and Linda and two granddaughters, Devan and Michaela. Her family was her pride and joy and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her girls (and her Bob). Her constant, loving presence meant that she was not only “Nanny” to her granddaughters but also to their friends, camp family and many others.

Nat obtained her real estate license later in life and spent many years working happily alongside her second family at Willport Realty. She had an incredible work ethic and continued at Willport well into her 80s. Along with work, she was dedicated to her faith and was a long-standing member of St Agnes Parish. When she wasn’t working or spending time with family she enjoyed card games with friends, bingo and trips to the casino. She was also a wonderful cook and baker and hosted countless holiday get-togethers and weekly Sunday dinners at her condo.

Nat spent the last year residing at St. Joseph’s Hospital. We cannot thank the staff of 4N and Hospice enough for the compassion and care they have shown us through this difficult journey. We couldn’t have done it without our Earth angels.

She is survived by her brother Billy (Ellen), daughters Linda and Debbie (Bob), grandchildren Michaela (Ray) and Devan (Pete), beloved grandpuppies Charlotte and Buster as well as many other cherished family members.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:00am at St Agnes Church. A luncheon will be held following the service.

In lieu of flowers if so desired the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

In the spirit of Nat’s nurturing soul, please take a moment to let someone know how much they mean to you.

“How lucky we are to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so hard”
