Obituary for Ronald Fucile

It is with great sorrow that the family of Ronald Louis Fucile announce his peaceful passing on March 22, 2022. Ronnie was born August 14, 1932 in Fort William to Ada and John Fucile. He met the sparkle of his eye Muriel in 1956. According to Dad he immediately knew she was the one! They raised four children together and were blessed with nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Ronald grew up in the East End where he and Rocci Basecello became lifelong friends. Mom and Dad moved to the family home, Rocci and his family moved in across the street soon after, where they continued their friendship for 85 years! Roc n Ron spent many days working and swearing at each other in his woodworking shop which quickly became the meeting place for family and friends and of course beverages were of an abundance.
Ronnie had many life accomplishments. He started his working career as a carpenter after completing his schooling in Toronto where he received his carpentry ticket and began his own cabinet making business.
Soon after he joined his brother Lorne and father John in the family business Supreme Cleaners, where he remained until retirement in 2002.
Dad enjoyed many sports starting with being a pro boxer and then turned his eyes to rowing which he received many medals for. Later in life his focus turned to golfing, curling, woodworking, painting and drawing.
He is survived by his children Tim (Debbie), Jaimie, Todd (Patty Jo), and Melanie (Kim Ankney), grandchildren Jeremy, Tyler, Randi-Lee, Ronnie, Clayton, Kaila, Brett, Christian and Tara, great-grandchildren Aila, Angelique and Miss Rudi, sisters Jeannette McSweeny, Ada Greer and Carol Gorrell, as well as many nieces and nephews, and finally his companion by his side, his dog Abby. Ronnie is predeceased by his wife Muriel, mother Ada, father John, aunt Milena, brother Lorne, brothers-in-law Curtis McSweeny and Phil Gorrell, nephews Patrick McSweeny and Shane Gorrell, and daughter-in-law Sharon.
